Hello! I've sat here for a few hours now, trying to figure out a clever way to introduce myself to the fitness/martial arts blogging world. Needless to say, that hasn't panned out very well. So, I'll just jump right into it and share a bit about LEG DAY!
Deadlifts are by far my favorite strength training exercise. Something about standing in front of a bar loaded down with weights that seem impossibly heavy and thinking to yourself, "I'm going to lift that." is just so empowering to me. Don't even get me started on the absolutely giddy feeling I get afterward...I'm an admitted weight lifting junkie.
Yesterday's deadlift workout was comprised mostly of small sets building up to my current one rep max. My max use to be around 215, but I haven't lifted weights for a few months. After yesterday's workout I've found that my new max is 205...not too bad. My goal is to get to 250 by the end of this year!
Full beast mode. Its good to be back at it!
I finished my workout with some bulgarian split squats and GHRs. GHRs are an absolutely KILLER hamstring, glute, and quadricep exercise. I still feel my legs burning. Ladies, if you want a tight tush, do GHRs. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed.

GHRs
I know that this isn't the best introduction, but I hope to fully introduce myself soon and tell you all a little bit about myself and my personal martial arts journey. Until then...what are some of your favorite exercises? Do you have any weight lifting goals for the year? I'd love to hear them!
Leg workout = One happy girl!
